Day 5
Alas we just came home from another exhausting and long day out.
At 9.10am, we met Mr Ari, Miss Aliza, Zack, Charles and the rest of the interns and staff at the studio.
From there, Miss Aliza drove us to visit Rhythm & Hues Studio. (http://www.rhythm.com/home/)
It's the vfx company that participated in the post-production of feature films like X-Men First Class, Mr Popper's Penguins, The A-Team, Fast & Furious, Night at the Museum, Golden Compass, Happy Feet, Superman Returns and many more.
The recruit staff at R&H showed us their demo reel first, followed by a small conference and discussion session. Lastly, he showed us around the work stations. Apparently they allow pet dogs in the studio.
Sadly though, we can't blog or write about the works we saw going on in the studio. Same goes for most film industry companies where they're pretty sensitive about releasing information about movies they're working on to the public.
After the mini tour, Miss Aliza treated us lunch at Subway and after that we went back to SideEffects studio to help arrange the computer stations back to their original positions. Changes were made to the stations a few days ago due to an event that was hosted yesterday.
Work I did today? I've set up a file to start off with a previz for my film. It's still in progress so I can't really shw much now.
At 4.45pm, we took bus 733 down to venice street to meet Steven and his wife. Steven fetched us over to Los Angeles Film School for a free screening of X-Men First Class.
After the screening, Steven took us on a small tour around Hollywood. We saw stuff like the place where they hold the oscars and the celebrities' stars wall of fame on the pavements.
Pretty tired now, don't know what else to write...
