Day 9

In the morning at the office, John gave us a lesson on vopsop basics.

In my previous blog I've already done some things related to vopsop.

However what John has taught us today was very torough and detailed.
Thus I was very interested anyway.

Here are some notes I took down.

VOP

Global: Information In
Ouput: Information Out

edit > preferences > network editor > show full names on vop nodes.

Node tabs:
Light Green - Vector
Dark Green - Float
Blue - Integer
Hover mouse over coloured tab for information

Math calculation nodes change values not from original point positons. Keeps them.

Constant - A single value that stays constant. Use to multiply/ add etc.

In the afternoon, Charles gave us a lesson based on materials and shaders.

How to project UVs onto seperate geometry on both OBJ level and GEOMETRY level.

Also how to create our own shaders and manipulate materials.
(Similar to using materials in Maya but much more awesome.)

During some free time, I tweaked the sprite particles.
